Why Dallas Fort Worth Drivers Should Avoid Taking their RVs to Manufacturers for Repairs

August 19, 2017

Coach Specialists recently received a repair order for a 2016 KZ Spree Escape Toy Hauler E17FKTH for an interesting repair. The owner needed warranty work because of a manufacturing defect. KZ installed the linoleum flooring with the incorrect nails, which caused yellow soft spots on the floor. With this repair order, as well as the recent news regarding Tiffin, RV owners in Dallas Fort Worth are being challenged more and more to complete their warranty work through their manufacturer. An RV owner can either send their coach to their manufacturer for warranty work or wait upwards of a year to have their repair completed, or they face companies such as Tiffin who recently changed their warranty policy making it more difficult for RV owners to receive the proper repairs. Now more than ever is the time to bring your RV to Coach Specialists for its entire repair needs.

Manufacturing Wait Time

We understand a customer’s hesitancy to bring their warranty repair work to Coach Specialists of Texas. We may not be able to guarantee that a repair completed by us will be covered under the warranty. Although we have many working relationships with many insurance companies, sometimes in order to have a repair covered under a warranty, it must be sent back to the manufacturer.

The problem with sending an RV back to the manufacturer is the amount of time needed for the repair. Many customers have to wait upwards of a year in order to receive their repair. Think about how many trips you’ll have to miss because your RV will be incapacitated for a year!

At Coach Specialists of Texas, we not only guarantee quality work, but also repairs completed in a timely fashion. Since RV repairs are our only focus, all our technicians and square feet of our stores are dedicated to fixing your repairs. Because of our experience and our relationships with insurance companies, we are able to churn out first-rate repairs at a quicker rate than any manufacturer or RV repair company.

Tiffin Policy Change

Tiffin recently changed their warranty policy that can affect many of our customers in the DFW. Tiffin is now limiting full warranty repairs service to RVs that are four years old or younger. Every Tiffin RV older than four years will be sent to their express repair shop.

The problem with this change in policy is the express repair Tiffin offers is unable to provide extensive repairs to RVs. This reason is why RV owners should bring their coaches to Coach Specialists of Texas. At Coach Specialists, all repairs are created equal. We give your RV our full attention regardless of the age. We have specialists for storm damage, flooring, interior design, collision, and so much more. While we can’t guarantee the repair will be covered by the warranty, we can guarantee that we will give your RV the best possible repair to get your coach back on the road quickly.

Don’t hesitate to make an appointment with Coach Specialists of Texas today. Our repair shops in Mansfield and Plano provide repairs in collision, storm, flooring, and so much more. Schedule an inspection today!
